MTH Electric Trains closing in mid 2021, my thoughts

This is a video I was not expecting to make, but I felt I should contribute my 2 cents about the closing of MTH Trains which is 40 years old as of this year. This was a very difficult video to make and took a lot longer than most of my other videos. This video is mostly a podcast, but has videos of trains for anyone who is crazy enough to sit through 13 minutes of me talking.

All of the clips feature something in my collection that is MTH, has videos of other club members MTH trains (which I thought were the most significant from MTH), and has photos of MTH items (2 of them from MTHs website). The clips will have the models operating at the San Diego 3-Railers layout, unless otherwise stated. In this video I will also bring up the last 2 items I have pre-ordered from the last catalog they released.

Clips 1 - 4: My MTH Premier Tri-Rail train.
Clips 5 - 8: My MTH Premier Amtrak F59PHI #450 leading my usual San Diegan styled train (clip 8 is on my home layout).
Clips 9 - 12: My MTH Premier Amtrak Genesis #99 leading my usual San Diegan styled train.
Clips 13 - 16: My Schnabel train, with my MTH ABB Schnabel car #204 (clips 13 and 14 have it lead by my Lionel KCS Genset and clips 15 and 16 have it lead by my Lionel GoRail SD60E). Clip 15 also has the MTH Premier Burlington Pioneer Zephyr parked on a siding (owned by a club member).
Clips 17 - 20: My Lionel Reading T1 leads my MTH Reading Madison 70’ passenger cars (clip 20 is on my home layout with my recently added matching RPO passenger car).
Clips 21 - 23: A club members 5-pack of MTH Rheingold passenger cars being led by various steam engines (clip 21 has an MTH New York Central (unpainted) 4-8-2 L-3a Mohawk as the leader, clip 22 has a MTH Premier Duchess Class Steam Engine as the leader, and clip 23 has an MTH Premier Santa Fe 2-10-4 "Texas" as the leader).
Clip 24: Brendan’s MTH Premier BR18 rolls by, with European passenger cars.
Clip 25: MTH Amtrak Phase III AEM-7 (Protosound 1.0) with 6 matching MTH Premier Amtrak Amfleet cars.
Clip 26: Brendan’s mom’s MTH Premier Surfliner train rolls by, with the camera car on the rear.
Clip 27: A club members MTH Premier Santa Fe F3 ABBA set leads an 8 car train of matching MTH Premier Santa Fe passenger cars.
Clip 28: A club members MTH Premier Burlington Pioneer Zephyr rolls by.
Clip 29: MTH Amtrak Amfleet passenger train rolls by as well, with an MTH Premier Amtrak Genesis leading.
Clips 30 and 32: A club members MTH Railking Amtrak Phase IV Genesis locomotive, with 3 Amtrak Amfleet cars and 4 New York Central passenger cars.
Clips 31 and 33: A club members MTH Railking New York Central 4-8-2 L3 Mohawk, with 3 Amtrak Amfleet cars and 4 New York Central passenger cars.
Clip 34: A club members MTH Premier Santa Fe 4-6-2 steam engine leads an 8 car train of matching MTH Premier Santa Fe passenger cars.
Clip 35: MTH Premier New York Central AeroTrain (Protosound 2.0).
