Here is a the recipe video of my all time favourite dessert
WATTLAPPAM all the way from SRILANKA

WATTLAPAM IS A PERFECT DESSERT AFTER A PERFECT MEAL. IT IS SO HEALTHY AND ALL THE INGREDIENTS ARE SO GOOD AND NO BAD THINGS LIKE WHITE SUGAR OR ANY OTHER PRESERVATIVES.

SO HERE IS THE COMPLETE RECIPE FOR SERVING 10 people

INGREDIENTS
Egg - 6

Coconut milk- 2 coconut, 500ml
( first press milk, should be thick)

palm jaggery or
Palm jaggery powder- 100-150gms
(Be free to add the sweeteners
According to your taste.)

Nutmeg powder- Just a pinch

Cardamom powder Just a pinch

I used 30X30 baking tray




Procedure.

1. Grate two coconuts and take milk from it with warm water in the quantity of 500ml.

2. Crack 6 eggs and give them a whip in a mixer.

3. Add the coconut milk to the egg mixture and give them both a good whip. (Note: in the mixer)

4. Add jaggery powder according to your taste in the mixture of coconut milk and egg and give whip.

5. Transfer this WATTLAPPAM mixture to a baking bowl or tray

6. Securely wrap this bowl or try from the top to make sure there is no contact between the mixture and the external water from the pressure cooker. ( i suggest cover the bowl or tray with silver foil sheets)

7. Keep a pressure cooker ready and fill it with water. The water should be filled to the half of the baking bowl or tray.

And keep no whistle for the pressure cooker.

8. Let the WATTLAPPAM get baked for 30 minutes in low flame
Once done check its consistency by stabbing him with knife or fork or any other sharp objects.

9. Cool it for sometime until he got cold.

10. Serve chill……….ummmmmah!!
