“Albie Pearson with Ralph Carmichael’s Orchestra” (the complete LP) features the vocal talents of this baseball star-turned minister. Between 1958-1966, Albie played in over 1,000 Major League Baseball games with the Washington Senators, Baltimore Orioles and the California Angels. At only 5’5” he earned the nickname of “The Littlest Angel.” Following a career-ending injury in 1966, Albie turned his focus to ministry through several youth foundations. With a love of singing, Albie recorded this album of songs that were very meaningful to him, choosing Ralph as the arranger: “All My Life,” “It Took a While,” “Fear Thou Not,” “Unworthy,” “He’s Everything to Me,” Yes, I Love Him,” “Your Love for Him,” “The Heart Is a Rebel,” “There’s Still a Chance” and “Jesus My Savior.” The album was released on Vibrant Records around 1967.
