Did you know your run could be the start line for transforming someone else’s life? Volunteer runners known as “guides” of all paces serve as the eyes, ears, safety assistants, and more for athletes with disabilities who want to experience the sport.

On Thursday, June 22, athletes and guide runners discussed their adventures while training and racing together and the top tips for getting involved at the NYRR RUNCenter feat. the NB Runhub.

The panel discussion covered:
• Volunteering to support an athlete with a disability to reach their race goals
• Misconceptions of guide running and top tips for success
• The unstoppable force of an athlete and their guide
