That’s a great question, Beth. All travel plans are designed to provide short-term coverage while a person is traveling outside their home country. However, the policy wording and eligibility criteria can vary for each travel insurance plan.

With short-term travel plans, wording may be different from plan to plan.
• “Citizen” is straight forward on all travel plans. Also on all travel insurance plans, if a person has dual citizenship and one of the countries is the United States, the person will only be considered as a United States citizen.
• A person’s country of citizenship and country of residence are not always the same.
