Stuck on 17 - Ryan Upchurch - Cover

Okay y’all here’s the cover video I’ve been promising for a while! I wanted to make a “music video” for this song because every time I listen to “Stuck on 17” I just think about being a 17-year-old in high school. I’m not from a super small town but it’s still small enough. I’ve never moved before; living in the same house for 19 years of my life. I grew up in the same town, in the same house, going to school with the same people for 13 of my 19 years. Now I don’t see anything wrong with that at all! But it’s time for a change. Ever since I was little I always wished I could’ve lived on a farm up north somewhere close to the woods, but that wasn’t in the books for my childhood. So I stuck around here in my town of St. Clair Shores Michigan. A place that if you tell people where it is they don’t have a damn clue. I walked to Elementary school right down my street, took the bus to middle school down the road, and drove my truck to high school. Throughout high school I was in the middle between the “popular” kids and the “not-so-popular” kids, but I never gave a shit about all that anyways I just did my own thing. I got shit for being that country kid in the city wearing camo, singing country songs, and having a confederate flag hanging in my truck. I was labeled a racist hick bitch lol. And that’s why this song sticks with me so much because turning 17 was probably one of the craziest, busiest, shittiest years of high school. I was a junior still trying to figure shit out, dealing with a lot of shit, and trying to survive high school and get out as fast as possible. But Lake Shore High School is where I got STUCK at and it was a part of my life. I know every side street, I remember the Homecoming football games, and all the shit me and my truck got into.
