Corporal Alvey Martz from Somerset County Pa. served in WWI and fought against Germany's last big offensive in July 1918 to cross the Marne River and onward to Paris. He was 27 years old when he enlisted on June 2, 1917 and was in Company C of the 10th Pennsylvania National Guard from Somerset County, Pa. His company was mustered into service July 15, 1917 and became part of the 110th Infantry Regiment with the 28th Division, known as the Keystone Division. Join Richard Sturtz as he tells the tale of Company C and Alvey Martz.
