After making it to Katherine, we changed direction and started our journey west, along the Victoria Highway, towards Timber Creek. Although it’s only 250km, we took our time and savoured the magic of the Katherine surrounds and explored some of the scenic wonders of the majestic Victoria River Region:
* Manbulloo Homestead Caravan Park - 10km west of Katherine for a 3-night stay
* Sullivan Campground in the magnificent Gregory National Park
* Escarpment Walk & Nawulbinbin Walk - near Victoria River Roadhouse … STUNNING!
* Dingo Creek Spring Lagoon - a surprising FREE camp!

It was wonderful discovering the abundant natural wonders and picturesque scenery along this stretch of road.
