UK/FRANCE: TORY LEADERSHIP ELECTIONS

The man who has challenged British Prime Minister for the leadership of the Conservative Party has been outlining the policies he would pursue as prime minister.
John Redwood, who until yesterday was a member of John Major's cabinet, firmly rejected the idea of a single currency for Europe.
And he called for a national referendum over the issue of Europe.
Meanwhile in Cannes, Britain's Chancellor Kenneth Clarke rallied in support of Mr Major.
