This sermon is based on John 21:1-19, the story of Jesus' post-resurrection appearance on the Sea of Galilee, the miraculous catch of fish, and the commissioning of Peter to "feed my sheep." This sermon continues this year's Stewardship season, entitled “Our Money Story: Remember, Release, Reimagine, & Restore.” This theme is intentionally direct, acknowledging that each of us has our own "money story" — often shaped by fear, scarcity, or even shame. We believe God invites us to hear a different story: one rooted in justice, liberation, and trust. Over the next three weeks, we’ll reflect on how our relationship with money connects to our faith —and how our stories might be transformed.
