Christmas Stocking on the LK 150 Knitting Machine

Striped Christmas stocking on the LK 150 knitting machine. This stocking is a great project for beginners who would like to learn how socks are knit on the knitting machine, but on a much larger scale than normal. The skills shown include stripes, weaving in ends as you go, turning a heel and toe, i-cord, and a picot hem.

I used Dollar Tree Just Yarn in red, forest green and cream. This is a lighter #4 worsted weight yarn, and you will need one skein of each color, so the project comes in at $3.00 total. You will use almost the entire white skein but have enough red and green left to make another, so go ahead and purchase two skeins of cream, in case you decide to make two. These stockings make a great inexpensive gift or craft show item.
