Back in December of 2022, the long awaited Guillermo del Toro reimagination was finally premiered in Netflix. 'Pinocchio' follows a wooden puppet that's brought to life by a sprite. With the help of various characters, Pinocchio has to learn how to become a better person all while dealing with mortality and the importance of life.

Not only did Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio garner overwhelmingly positive praise from both critics and audiences, it managed to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. But is all this praise well deserved? Or was it simply carried by a name beloved by Hollywood? Well, let's find out.
