Important Drum Lesson - How to Master the Click Track (Full Version)

Some of you are resistant when it comes to drumming to a click track, some of you embrace it. Master drummer Joe Porcaro said to me, " Never let the click tell you where the time is... YOU tell the click where the time is."

He forever changed the way I view the click track. From that day on, I embraced the click, and I never play without it. RIP Joe!

Although there are many techniques and exercises available to us, this one, in particular, has helped me land those drum gigs that require a click and has also improved my timing by 1,000,000%.
