Today, May 25 is Africa Day. 57 years ago, in 1963 the Organisation of African Union (OAU) was founded. The organisation was established to fight colonialism and apartheid, as well as unite Africans, whether on the continent or abroad, in common challenges.
In 2002, the OAU changed it's name to the African Union.
