DayZ is an open world, post apocalyptic survival game that provides some of the most blood pumping moments ever in gaming history. This means that is is very easy to get absorbed in the moment. Sometimes, you can become so immersed in the game, that you can feel the environment around you, as if you were actually there. Today, I will show you how to set the most important settings, and pick the best servers, to get the most out of these moments.

This video will cover the best graphics and control settings for DayZ. Also, this video will show a method to fine tune any games settings to get the best quality and performance out of any game. Some other things covered in this video are, pro tips for pvp key binds, the best way to find servers YOU like in, how to pick servers that are less likely to have cheaters, how to reduce game lag, and how to predict server patterns for future gameplay. This is how to make playing DayZ a more enjoyable gaming experience.

❗️𝘽𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙪𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

Two more simple settings you can do to help boost performance are, switching your power consumption to performance mode, and allowing the game full performance. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼: settings, hardware and sound, power options, edit plan settings, “change advanced power settings”, select the highest performance option from the dropdown menu.

Go to: settings, system, display, graphics, select the game by searching or from the list, click options, then select the "High Performance" option.


If you are still having any issues with, or just want more performance, with Nvidia graphics cards you can try Automatic Tuning. I recommend trying this with RTX 3070 graphics cards and below. Anything higher than that I have found will not improve, or even hinder performance.

First, you'll need the Nvidia App. You can download it here:

This is where you'll be able to update your GPU drivers as well.

Next, use the menu on the left to navigate to the "System" tab. At the top of the screen you will see "Performance". Click this, then locate "Automatic Tuning" and toggle the switch ON. This will take some time. Be sure to close all other programs before starting the process.
