Beautiful Mangalorean Wedding highlights || Laxmi Shenoy and Sanath Sadashiv

Mangalore located in Karnataka has multiple communities with several traditions, Laxmi Shenoy & Sanath Sadashiv wedding took place in a simple Mangalorean style traditional way. In the early morning Thula muhurtham on the thursday of 16th day of September 2021, the couple got married by swearing in front of the pachamahabhootas: Fire, Earth, Water, Sky & Space. Attended by close family & friends the wedding took place at Shree Mahammayee temple, Marigudi, Surathkal. The Kanyadana was carried out by Mr. Arun Pai & Mrs. Anupama Pai with Sushmi Shenoy as Dheddi. Sanaths parents Mr. Sadashiv Udyavar & Mrs. Saroja Udyavar along with brother Samarth Sadashiv of Udupi received the bride. Mother of Laxmi Shenoy, Anitha Shenoy, Sister Rashmi Shenoy, Brother in law Nishanth Kaverappa from Coorg were present at the wedding event. The garlands were then exchanged with the blessings of ancestors, Late. Shri. Dayanand Shenoy, Late. Mrs. Rathna D Shenoy, Late. Shri. Dinesh Shenoy. Several relatives from Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg, Udupi, Puttur attended the wedding. The marriage was followed by traditional Konkani style food over the banana leaf consisting of Green chilly pickle, Phagil podi, ghee rice, paneer butter masala, rice, daalithoy, saru, chana ghashi, pineapple sasam, madgane & ice cream from Hangyo.
