Zhang Dongmei has been making traditional Chinese medicinal pills known as Angong Niuhuang for 34 years. She has studied and worked at Tongrentang, China's largest producer of traditional Chinese medicine, since she was 17. The traditional skill of handmade medicine boluses has been inherited for more than 200 years. Each bolus weighs 3 grams and goes through several procedures. After more than three decades of experience, Zhang masters the production process with precision. Angong Niuhuang is commonly used by Chinese people as a medicinal supplement for common ailments.
