Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, is a revered temple where Lord Krishna is worshipped as Lord Jagannath.

The temple of Shree Jagannatha is one of the tallest monuments in the entire sub-continent of India and its height is about 214 feet from the ground (road) level. It stands on a 'raised platform of stone, measuring about ten acres.

Puri Jagannath Temple remains open daily between 05:00 am to 12:00am. There is an afternoon break in darshan from 01:00 pm to 04:00 pm. Prasadam timings of the temple are from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm. Required Time: 1 to 2 hours.19 Feb 2020

Hence, the temple food “Mahaprasad” (not simply prasad) at Puri is held to be of supreme importance. Mahaprasad is treated here as 'Anna Brahma'.
Anna Prasad is available inside the Temple. Devotees may book the required quantity / heads, before one day from the Temple Office. Costing of Anna Prasad ..

The items offered include cooked rice, dal, vegetable curry, sweet-dishes, cakes etc. Dry confectioneries are prepared of sugar, gur, wheat flour, ghee, milk and cheese (Chenna) etc.

Mahaprasads are sold in Anand Bazar or the PleasureMart of the temple which is situated on the northeastern corner of the outer enclosure of the temple. Most of the residents in and around puri depend upon this Mahaprasad to entertain their guests during social functions such as thread ceremony and weddings.
