Surf Fishing in Costa Rica when the Local POLICE showed up

Surf fishing in Costa Rica can be amazing, it takes very little special tackle and just some patience. In this video we walked the beaches of Playa Tamarindo surf fishing for Jacks and other local fishes.

The surf fishing here can be amazing, Jacks, Blue Runners, Roosterfish, Mackerel and even Snappers can be caught on artificial or the abundant live bait that can be found near the beach. We were surf fishing using 3/4oz kastmaster spoons and YOZURI suspended twitch baits.


We walked the beach looking for signs of bait then made the best cast we could. Working your lures as quickly as possible for the Jacks really seemed to work the best.

We also encountered the local Costa Rican Police in this video, when they came over to check our catch and say Hi. We let them take the fish with them for Dinner.
