🌅 Lord, Restore the Joy I’ve Lost | Nehemiah 8:10 | Morning Prayer

Some mornings don’t feel heavy with shame —
they feel empty.

You believe.
You pray.
You keep going.

But the joy you once had feels distant.

Maybe life has worn you down.
Maybe responsibilities have drained you.
Maybe disappointment slowly stole your song.

If that’s where you are today, hear this promise:

📖 Scripture for this morning — Book of Nehemiah 8:10
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Notice — it doesn’t say your joy is your strength.
It says the Lord’s joy is.

That means your strength today does not depend on your emotional state. It depends on God’s unchanging presence.

This morning prayer is for the weary believer — the one who hasn’t given up, but feels like something precious has faded. God is not disappointed in your exhaustion. He is ready to refill what has been poured out.

In this prayer, we will:

🔥 Admit the dryness instead of pretending
💔 Lay down discouragement and spiritual fatigue
🙏 Ask God to renew our hearts
🕊 Receive fresh strength from His presence
✨ Invite the Holy Spirit to restore delight
💪 Step into the day anchored in God’s joy

Joy is not noise.
It is not constant excitement.
It is quiet confidence that God is still good.

The people in Nehemiah’s day were weeping when they heard God’s Word — overwhelmed by conviction and reality. But they were told not to stay in sorrow. Restoration was happening. Renewal was beginning.

And maybe that is happening for you, too.

Joy can return.
Hope can rise again.
Strength can be renewed.
