BURIAL CEREMONY OF MARY MULEO KAIRU

Mary Muleo Kairu (Maama) was born in 1939 at
Athiithine village, Gitundu sublocation,
Antuanduru location, Karama division in Meru
County. She was daughter to the Late Baimonki
M’tarichia and the late Elizabeth Nkoroi Kiolo.
She grew up in the village until her marriage.
She was sister to Rael Mukima, Jerusha Ntoomo,
Amos Kubai, Kaliuntu Dauti, the late Rose Akui &
Peter Mukondo. She was step-daughter to the
late Mwaka Baimonki and step-sister to
Atumbuta, Kiremba, Kamundi, Kainda and
Mwonga.
After emergency in 1950s, she joined adult
education school (Ngumbaru) at Mwaene
Antuanduru where she acquired basic education
as per the curriculum that time.

MARRIAGE LIFE & FAMILY LIFE
The late Maama got married to the late Bishop
Japhet Kairu in 1958. They were blessed with
the following children namely: the late Joshua
Muriuki, Dr Elijah Ntibi(Maua Hilltop Pharmacy),
Judy Muchiri(Nthambiro), Eng Daniel Murithi
(KPA Mombasa) Rebecca Kambura (Nkanda Day
Sec sch) and Jemimah Kanario (Mbaranga).
Maama was loving mother-in-law to; Kagendo
Joshua, Angelica Ntibi, Joseph Muchiri, Eliphas
Muriuki, Lawrence Karithi and Pius Kibuthania.
Maama was blessed with the following
grandchildren; Makena, Gacheri, Grace, Munene, Dean, Ryan, William, Enoch, Junior,
Jim, Mwenda, Mugambi, Mwiti, Amos,Kinya,
Eliza, Munene, Muthomi, Emmanuel, Annabel,
Kendi, Kagwiria,Kawira & Rachel. She was
graced to have ten great grandchildren.

ILLNESS AND DEMISE
Maama enjoyed good health through her life
until mid
-February 2024 when she started ailing.
She was treated in various hospitals until
Wednesday 19th June 2024 when she was
promoted to glory wile undergoing treatment at
St. Theresa Mission Hospital Kiirua Meru county
at 4:30PM.
