Greetings from Anonymous and Team Vendetta,

With polls showing the majority of Americans wanting cannabis legalized, there are
still those opposed to this concept. The reasons for this are people are still suffering the effects from decades of negative propaganda put forth by those that make a financial gain from cannabis remaining illegal. These people are merely misinformed and are afraid of a plant that has been stereotyped as evil and fear what may happen if cannabis were legalized. These individuals believe that people only want cannabis legalized just to get high and there will be a tsunami of negative consequences if this were to happen. With the passing of new recreational use cannabis laws in certain states, we now know these fears are unfounded. There were not great throngs of people rushing out to get high, nor crowds of stoned zombies suddenly appearing and causing havoc. The truth is cannabis may be the closest thing to a "silver bullet" cure to benefit all of mankind and the earth as a whole. Cannabis is a easily renewable resource and it will take only 6% of our present agriculture to create 100% of our energy needs, and with agriculture already losing or wasting 16% of their crops annually, we do not have to cut down forest land to create farms for cannabis. We can do this without producing carbon monoxide and other harmful pollutants therefore reducing much of the worlds pollution immediately. Cannabis is the best choice as a renewable resource because it is easily grown and harvested and is pest resistant and drought tolerant. Cannabis fiber is among the longest and strongest of any plant in the world and has been reported to be many times stronger than steel and as flexible as silk. Anything made from wood pulp can be made from cannabis. Anything made from petrochemical plastic can be made from cannabis: How many plastic things are you looking at right now? Anything made from fabric can be made from cannabis. Anything made from soy beans can be made from cannabis and the list goes on and on, and this is without touching on cannabis's many many medicinal applications. Aside from it's beneficial industrial fiber, it can also be used as a renewable non-polluting fuel source and can also be the number one most healthy nutritional food source as well. It is a crime in itself that the cannabis plant is not utilized to benefit the world as a whole and that millions of nonviolent people have been incarcerated or have had their futures clouded by simple possession charges. Millions of people and your loved ones have suffered and died when this plant could have helped or even cured them. We are not asking you to believe us, but rather to do some research for yourselves and then share the information you have learned to educate others to the many positive qualities of the cannabis plant. Please educate yourselves and then contribute that information you learned to everyone you love and evolve from the "reefer madness" stereotyped dark ages to a more enlightened lifestyle. In synopsis, Cannabis is only illegal and demonized by those individuals making a financial profit while your loved ones suffer and resources dwindle. Cannabis can easily be a renewable and non-polluting resource to replace many applications that are now poisoning the earth. Cannabis is a beneficial plant and should be utilized and not demonized.

Recent research and major polling by reputable sources shows that almost 60% of the American public believes cannabis should be legalized. The same polling was done on Government and Legislators and this showed that only 3% of politicians think cannabis should be legal. This is a problem that can be addressed at voting time simply by voting issue and not party and also by individuals educating future candidates on the many benefits of cannabis and how it can be used. Right now politicians are padding their and their friends pockets from big pharma and big corp lobbyists and now we must make them stop this practice before they do the same thing with cannabis, because this herb belongs to everyone and not a few select individuals seeking profit and power. Right now western medicine is a double edged sword whereby they not only tell you what drugs you can't take, but also what drug you have to and must take.

To the individuals keeping cannabis illegal for personal financial profit while people needlessly suffer and die we say:
