Beaulieu River Visitor Mooring and Bucklers Hard | Evocean Sailing

The Beaulieu River in the Solent is pretty breathtaking with nature and wildlife all around.

We had taken a mooring buoy for a few nights at a bargain price of just £10 a night! These buoys are numbered 1 – 8 and have a white pick up buoy marked with a green V. They are located close to the river entrance and you will need a dinghy to get ashore. The price does not include use of the marina facilities. Up river Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour has a chandlery, shop, pump out facilities and fuel dock.

Just a short stroll from the marina, you’ll find the 18th century shipbuilding village of Buckler’s Hard where ships were once built for Nelson’s Navy. There is a visitors centre, pub and cafe.

Approximately 2 miles inland is the beautiful village of Beaulieu with quaint shops, pubs and tea rooms.
