Iris, also known as Iria (thankfully not Myria...) in the original script, is an optional superboss waiting deep within Lufia 3's Ancient Cave on the 200th floor. Not a fan of this Lufia's Ancient Cave but the fight is pretty worth the slog?

Considering my dimwits were at LV98, she is a pretty formidable foe. She has 50000 HP (twice that of the final boss but still less than the Egg Dragon), an array of nasty attacks that are powerful, can cause many status effects or just hit multiple times and she can switch between two forms - magic and combat. Uniquely, she can employ a shield which reflects back IP skills (together with skills of Mousse and Egg Dragon) at the party which is damn annoying.
A lot depends on how much the track down to the bottom of the cave provided for you. I was extremely lucky that I found the Fatal Blow IP skill (also known as D-End Flash) which immediately removed around half of her HP. Thank you Deckard. Your badass ancestor (?) can be proud. Or is if he is still alive...

The rewards are an ancient scroll with Fatal Blow / D-End Flash, one you can take outside the cave, and the Rainbow accessory which completely eliminates encounters while it is equipped.

You would not tell it from the cute face but Melphis just went on a full confused rampage of criticaling her allies for hundreds of damage! Even freaking Mousse! And Iris TWICE and then herself! Honey, what the hell is wrong with you!? BLOOD PRINCESS!
I sighed when I messed up Ruby's Double Up IP and it had such good going too! The damage would have been very useful. I forgot that you are supposed to confirm the attack boost and that a loss does not mean you use the boost you managed to win. It just goes back to 0 which makes sense gambling wise...
I facepalmed when the entire planned setup for Wain"s Octo-Strike IP just... fell through... Welp.
Seena kept her mouth shut the entire time.
