Dutch travel influencer discovers animal suffering in Bali's tourism industry

Dutch travel influencer Floortje Dessing, in collaboration with World Animal Protection, is launching a new documentary: "Animal Tourism in Bali." Together with the animal welfare organization, Floortje travels to the paradise island to witness firsthand how wild animals suffer for the entertainment of tourists. From elephant rides to swimming with dolphins and taking selfies with an orangutan.

Many tourists are unaware of the animal cruelty hidden behind attractions involving wild animals. They are deceived on a global scale. The documentary's conclusion, filmed in Bali, is harsh: "If you, as a tourist, can have direct contact with wild animals, such as washing elephants and swimming with dolphins, it is always a bad idea."
