We were lucky enough to have our room upgraded from the beachcomber room at Splash Landings hotel at Alton Towers to the Ice Age Suite. We booked via the merlin holiday club as Merlin Pass holder.
This was also a very last minute trip to Alton Towers before the kids went back to school the next day. We only booked the hotel in the morning before we set off on our 3hr journey.
It was a fantastic room, very comfortable and equiped with everything we may have needed. We all loved the theming even though the kids had not watched any Ice Age movies.
Our stay was on 3rd-4th September 2018
