WHO IS WORTHY?
(REVELATION 5:1-7)

1. A LOOK AT THE SCROLL.

A. GOD IS HOLDING THE SCROLL IN HIS
RIGHT HAND.
1) GOD IS THE SOVEREIGN
AUTHORITY OVER THE END OF
WORLD.
2) GOD IS READY TO CARRY OUT AND
EXECUTE THE EVENTS OF THE
END TIME.
B. THE SCROLL IS WRITTEN ON BOTH
THE FRONT AND BACK PAGES. V1
C. THE SCROLL IS SEALED WITH 7 SEALS.
V1
1) THE SCROLL IS THE "LAST WILL
AND TESTAMENT OF GOD".
2) THE 7 SEALS SHOW US THE
SECRECY OF THE SCROLL.

2. THE SEARCH FOR ONE WHO IS WORTHY TO OPEN THE SCROLL. V2

A. JOHN SAW A STRONG ANGEL.
B. THE SEARCH FAILS. V3
C. JOHN BREAKS DOWN AND CRIES.

3. A LOOK AT THE ONE WHO IS WORTHY. V 5-7

A. HE IS THE LION OF JUDAH.
B. HE IS THE ROOT OF DAVID.
C. HE IS A LAMB.
1) HE IS CENTER STAGE. "IN THE
MIDST OF THE THRONE...."
2) HE WAS SLAIN. V6
3) JESUS IS THE OMNIPOTENT POWER
OF THE UNIVERSE.:
7 HORNS AND 7 EYES

And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.

2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?”

3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open [a]and read the scroll, or to look at it.

5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
