HTML5 Tutorial: HTML5 Elements DL, DT, DD

In this HTML5 tutorial, we will look at the HTML5 dl element and discuss how to use this element in practice. The HTML dl tag represents a description list but prior the HTML5 this element was often known as the definition list. We normally combine this element with the HTML dt tag and HTML dd tag to form a full HTML dl tag. HTML dt tag represents terms or names and the HTML dd tag represents the description of the HTML dt tag.

The HTML5 dl element has its own set of default browser CSS rules which can be changed via your CSS by adding CSS to the HTML dl tag.
