Today we are visiting the Southwest Indian Art Center in Winslow, AZ off Hwy. 40 Ext. 252. This small but magical spot is a must see! This is our second time visiting, and hope to make a third visit soon.

For over 50 years Dan Mazon has been sharing his family History and Native Art; either from his shop or at an event in a town near you. Dan not only has beautiful gifts and collectables, but a story. Not only is he the 3 times Great Grandson of the last Navajo Cheif; Cheif Manuelito. Dan Mazon is also a decendant of the Hubbell's of the Hubbell Trading Posts. These are not just stories from a book, but a lived experience passed on from those who were there. Now delivered by a very special few like Dan.

As I said in the video, Dan is happy to send you information, but nothing compares to the feeling you get just walking in the door. Mr. Mazon is not always in the shop these days. We were fortunate and happy to see him again. We never feel like we get enough time to visit, but always leave with a big heart and a sort of grounded connection to this great land.
