Genelec has enclosure built entirely out of metal and the price tag that is much higher than all plastic iLoud. In my opinion Genelec has a bit more detailed and natural lower midrange and better balanced, less pronounced top end, but overall they sound quite similar from the midrange up. Where they differ the most is bass response, Genelec is tight and light on its feet while iLoud has big if a bit sloppy bass response in comparison.
If You are looking for ultra compact monitors that could replace You big monitors for music listenig than iLoud is better choice. If You look for ultra compact monitors for music production and You do not need that much bass than Genelec will be better, more consistent choice for You.
