Evenflo Pivot Xplore All-Terrain Stroller Wagon Review - Babylist

This is the Evenflo Pivot Xplore All-Terrain Stroller Wagon — yep, it’s a combo! You can pull your kids around wagon-style, or flip the handle to make it a stroller instead: https://www.babylist.com/gp/evenflo-p...

It fits up to two kids, 6 months to 5 years old, up to 120 pounds total. And rather than stacking them on top of each other like you would in a double stroller, they get to hang out face-to-face in open seats with a 3 (instead of 5) point harness that makes them feel a little more free. My kids also love that they can crawl in and get seated all by themselves.

You can use the Pivot Xplore as a travel system if you buy the car seat adapter too. The seat pops on top and another kiddo can sit in the other seat. Just keep in mind that it’s ONLY compatible with Evenflo’s infant car seats.

The sturdy steel frame weighs in around 35 pounds, which is about the size of your average double stroller, and folding it down isn’t too bad. To be honest, wagons are all a little more clunky to fold than a stroller, but compared to other wagons I’ve seen, this one folds up most like a stroller so it feels a little more familiar. Once folded, it stands up on its own, and you can also leave all of the accessories in place when folding too, you don’t have to take a single one off!

Speaking of which, these are all of INCLUDED accessories: 2 adjustable, reversible and removable canopies with UPF 50+ fabric, a removable child snack tray with cup holders for 2, and a good-sized storage basket you can use on either side or even on the inside if you’re only with one kiddo. Parents in rainier states have mentioned in reviews that they’re craving a rain cover as well since the canopies aren’t super big, and I love me a good cup holder accessory for parents, but as of now these are the only accessories available.

As for how it strolls, extra-large wheels really do let you “xplore” more terrains than just smooth sidewalk. I was able to confidently navigate pavement and grass with either a push or pull, but when it came to sand, we had to switch to pull only. To be fair though, navigating the beach is tricky with any rolling object holding wiggly children.

A few final details: While strolling you can adjust the handlebar to 3 different positions. I’m 5’5” and found a comfortable spot wagoning or strolling, but my husband at 6’1” was craving a few inches more in stroller mode to be able to stand up straight. My kids would probably also appreciate a bit more space in the footwell that they share too, but I’m just happy it expands down to give them the room they do have, and their kicking and wiggling actually helps shake out the crumbs through the mesh so it works out.

In the growing world of stroller wagons, this one falls in the middle when it comes to price. It’s not plastic, but it’s also not super plush. The easy-ish fold and included accessories are what really got me. Hope this helps!
