We completed Andrew Skurka's Pfiffner Traverse in August 2025. It was a very challenging 80-mile high route through the Front Range in Colorado. Much of the route follows the Continental Divide. The route begins at Milner Pass in Rocky Mountain National Park and also passes through the Indian Peaks and James Peak wilderness areas, ending at Berthoud Pass. It also includes an interesting historical stop at Rollins Pass, which has remnants of an old train station and an ancient North American hunting blind.

We completed the route in six days. We mostly followed the official route with one notable exception: we bypassed Paiute Pass and the Northeast Gully due to concerns about the weather.
