First episode of a two part mini-series on Quake 2, my favorite FPS game as a child in the late 90s.

This game is very addictive, but at the same time very frustrating. This is what classic FPS games used to be, you can't go balls in unless if you have the dodging right or the ammo capacity to do so, and you always have limited resources to do most of the levels, especially on hard mode, so it becomes a pure bad ass fight for survival.

I always liked this version of Quake the best for some reason; it has a cool kind of storyline with planet Strogg, and the enemies are varied and fun. Also the PC version was a hallmark in map designing and game designing, alongside a revolution in turning FPS games from casual single-player experiences into a bad ass set of fights through Online servers.

It doesn't get much better than this, and with awesome music in the style of 90s Heavy Metal such as Pantera and Slayer, than you really should know you can't fuck with Id Software.
