In this let's play Stationeers gameplay video, we check out the new type of beacon that is powered by wiring it into your base, rather than using a portable battery. It requires solder and steel to make, which means we need to revisit our furnace to smelt them using iron, coal and lead.

We see how to check what pressure and temperature we need to smelt solder, and once done we make more steel, then use our new computer-controlled fabricator to actually make the beacon kit.

Then we test out the beacon by going mining for more gold and lead, letting the beacon guide us home as the sun sets.
