"Testing Excellence - A Journey to Deliver Quality Software at Speed" - Karl Kyck - Hall 1B

In today's fast-paced software delivery landscape, delivering high-quality software at speed has become a critical business need. Quality assurance, testing and automation play a pivotal role in enabling this delivery at speed. In this talk, I'll discuss our initiative to rediscover our companies focus on testing and how it has helped us ensure software delivery excellence.

I'll start by defining what testing excellence is and how it instils the confidence to deliver value into production at speed, and explore why testing is so important and how internal challenges have led us to refocus on software quality. Next, I'll share how we have selectively gathered best practices both internally and externally, tapping into the amazing work we are doing internally, and looking externally to the industry for further inspiration.

I will then discuss how we are bringing those practices together in one place to standardise what quality means to us within the organisation, and show how we are going about sharing knowledge, tools, guidelines, and practices so that all of our teams can benefit from it and accelerate their software delivery efforts.

Finally, I'll discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in testing, and explore how important it is to keep the human in the loop and how AI can help us to scale testing efforts while improving quality.

This is an exciting journey that we are on, learning how to deliver quality software at speed. We want to share our journey with you so you too can benefit from the insights and learnings we have so far gained, and demonstrate how you can harness testing to build a culture of quality that drives innovation and success.
