When I first started planning, I was great and it was working. However, when I started to look at videos on how the others are keeping it so pretty and aesthetical pleasing, I want to have the same thing. Unfortunately, my planner stopped working for me. Then, I discovered functional planning. I stopped the decoration and started to using my planner to only things that matters to me.
