We spent 3 days creating a short film with the black magic pocket cinema camera 6K. In DaVinci resolve you are able to upscale the raw video into 8K. And yes, it is actually 8K. I don't understand how it works, however, if you want to learn how to upscale your black magic pocket cinema camera 6K footage into 8K, the owner of the company tells you exactly how and why it is true 8K over on the black magic channel.
We shot the main sequences with the BMPCC 6K and the drone content with the Mavic 2 Pro. We then graded in resolve and exported everything as 8K.
Once we had all of our content, we edited everything in Final cut pro X (FCPX) to breeze through the edit.
I did not create proxies to edit the Black magic pocket cinema camera 6K footage because I use HIGH CAPACITY SSD drives that can handle this footage, that way I can it edits like butter. Like butter???
