Some important things:
- Time is measured by in-game seconds. The game has its own timer, and the time gotten is shown after clearing a level, which is basically the number of in-game seconds that have passed since the start of the level. The game saves your best time for each level.
- In-game seconds aren't real seconds, they run a bit faster. An in-game second is 3/4 of a real second.
- The speed techs used here are: regular cat momentum (scratching before touching the ground when diving and jumping to keep the speed) combined with a crouch boost tech (doing very brief crouches before jumping) combined sometimes with a vectoring tech to gain more speed.
- The crouch boost tech needs to be done with the run button held for it to give a better boost.
- I switch to boomerang at the dash section to get 2 of the key coins from distance. The damage boost at the end of that section is intentional and it's totally irrelevant for the time, since the in-game timer stops during the damage animation.
- Warp boxes keep a big part of the speed gotten before entering them.
- These speed techs aren't glitches, or at least I don't consider them glitches. It's just how the physics of the game work. And obviously there is no hacking or cheating here.
