Rachel Designs at Carter Academy for Career Day on May 2nd, 2024

I had the honor of being invited to Carter Academy Career Day to share my journey of becoming an entrepreneur and graphic designer. During my presentation, I talked about my roots, how a childhood punishment led me to discover my career path, and the achievements I accomplished in college, which ultimately led to the opening of my own graphic design business in 2020.

After the presentation, I answered questions from the enthusiastic Carter Academy students. It was a joy to hear 4th and 5th graders inquire about my workflow, favorite designs, and whether they could be like me when they grow up.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to speak with BMI Winner Percy Bady outside. He and others gave outstanding presentations. Before ending our conversation, I sang a portion of Ruben Studdard’s hit song, “I Need An Angel.” What an unforgettable moment.
