So got lucky I think.
2008 Chevy Cobalt and HHR. From what I'm told this is a common problem with these transmissions. I was told to check these tubes before taking the transmission half way out to do the shift solenoids. Sure enough one of the tubes was loose. I recommend you purchase a new set but when you are broke like I am you do what you got to do. JB Weld is super strong oil and gas resistant so it should hold for a long time. I cleaned it with brake cleaner wiped it off and cleaned it again before putting the JB Weld on it. I got the new filter and gasket set at O Reilly for $21.99 and the fluid is like $7.50 a quart. Takes 7 quarts. The pan bolts and the bolts that hold the tubes in place are all 8mm.
