ESD Satellite Centre, KLIA and Pass Delivery

On the 1 December 2021, the ESD introduced a new service where applicants can initiate their endorsement online, and obtain their passes immediately upon arrival in Malaysia at the ESD Satellite Centre, or the ESC located in the Main Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Malaysia is the first country to implement the immediate endorsement of expatriate’s pass upon arrival at the international airport, it allows the expatriate to officially start working once the expatriate’s pass is issued. In doing so, it saves the employers’ time and logistic cost. Such an efficient business-friendly feature attracts and allows t hem to get a better return of investments.

On the 15 November 2021, the ESD introduced a new service that allows for applicants to initiate endorsement online by choosing pass delivery option and receive their expatriates passes by the Malaysia’s premier postal service, Pos Malaysia. Both the company representatives and the expatriates will not be required to travel to an immigration office or the MYXpats Centre and this will be savings in terms of time and cost and reduces public movement for safety measures.
