1951 Chrysler Imperial Crown 2017 Barrett Jackson auto appraisal Jason Phillips

In Scottsdale Arizona certified auto appraiser Jason Phillips magnet tested and evaluated this beautiful past senior winning Imperial Crown. Listed by Barret Jackson as an Imperial, I believe it had all the trim and options found on the Imperial Crown, like power windows and steering. The tell tale difference between the two, besides the crown emblems on the decklid and hubcaps was the two piece rear quarter trim, separated by a gap between the stone splash and the horizontal bar. Either way, this very nice example was 1 of about 650 Imperials made in 1951, and it hammered at an impressive $52,000. That's $22,000 OVER Hagerty's classic guide high value! Looks like it will be time to adjust the Imperial's value column waay UP!
