One of Morocco’s major cultural events, the Moussem of Imilchil, is a celebration of Amazigh traditions – which date back before Arab-Muslim influence reached North Africa. The event attracts Moroccans from all over, but it’s the heritage of the country’s first people that takes the spotlight. For three days, it’s all about the markets, music, and the Amazigh collective wedding, held every year to marry dozens of young people officially. FRANCE 24’s team reports.
