If you’ve been playing Bedwars for quite some time now, you probably remember Technoblade’s famous win streak journey in 2017. Not only did he break the previous world record at the time of 374 Bedwars games which was set by a player named RankTW, but he managed to become the first ever player to reach a 1000 win streak and went on to triple and almost quadruple that previous record; winning 1400 Bedwars games in a row. But Technoblade wasn’t alone. He had some of the best Bedwars players at the time help him achieve that record. Who were they and where are they now? Let’s find out

On August 10, 2017, about a month before Technoblade uploaded his first of many win streak videos, RankTW posted a thread on the Hypixel Forums showcasing his 374 win streak. In that post, he thanked his teammates for helping him with the achievement. Since Bedwars was the biggest thing in the Minecraft multiplayer community as version 1.0 of the game was released a month prior of August 10, Technoblade looked at the forum post and saw it as an opportunity. He quickly contacted 3 of RankTW’s teammates and began the process of finding some of the best players of the game at the time. This is one of the screenshots from that same post, which shows the leaderboards and the names of some players that were well-known within the community. Techno then got in touch with 3 players from the leaderboards and had formed his superteam. Technoblade, along with his teammates Cream, Exy, Hasco, Ecuador, iWacky, and Miika, was now ready to take on the world record and the rest is history…

Let’s begin with the player Cream; Cream’s first login on the server was in December of 2013, and at the time of recording this video, has 255 Bedwars levels on the account. The account does show signs of recent activity with the latest addition to their friends’ list being in February of 2022. However, with many different name changes and not much talk within the community, it is unclear whether the account is with the real owner or is sold to a different user.

Exy’s first login was in June of 2013 and his account, at this time, is Bedwars level 125. Before taking on Bedwars, he was very active amongst the Blitz SG community that he started playing in 2013. Exy was not a frequent player in rotation within Technoblade’s team, however, his contribution is worth mentioning when he did join them. Looking at his forum profile, he stated that he had sold his account near the end of 2018, thereby ending another chapter.

Ecuador and iWacky were instrumental in helping Technoblade during his journey and were seen frequently in his videos. With both players being close to Bedwars level 250 and amounting close to 38,000 final kills, their contributions were vital in helping Techno win hundreds of games. Ecuador and Wacky were both pretty well-known within the community, however their last logins on the server were in September and November of 2021, respectively, and it is unknown whether or not they will continue.

This screenshot is sometime from late 2017, where it can be seen that the 4 players mentioned out of the 6 were amongst the most active on the server. Wacky and Ecuador at positions 3 and 4, Cream at position 6, and Miika at position 9. We’ve discussed Wacky, Ecuador, and Cream. Now onto Miika.

Miika was also seen pretty often in Techno’s games. With his last login being at the time of recording this video, he is fairly active. He is well-known within the Ranked Bedwars community and does show up in games from time to time. Now it is unclear at what exactly he plays when he’s on, but it’s good to see that Miika is active within the community and around the game.

The final player who was part of that team was xHascox. He was with RankTW and his 374 win streak. He was with Technoblade and his 1400 win streak; and he’s now with Hypixel and their administrative team? Yes, that’s right. For those of you that weren’t aware, Hasco is a game designer for the Hypixel Network. He was promoted to the role in September of 2020, so he’s been with the server for quite some time now. His first login on the server was in December of 2013 and his contribution, like others mentioned previously, was immensely crucial for Technoblade. It’s good to see him serve the server that he once played on.

In conclusion, it is clear that playing Minecraft for hundreds of hours does indeed wear you out as we can see from the players mentioned. While Technoblade went on to amass millions of subscribers, these players went on with their lives, but no one can doubt their contributions in revolutionizing Bedwars to what it is today..
