I would have had this cover out last month, but I wasn't feeling all that inspired with the sound I was getting, especially with Superior Drummer 2, my drum software and library of choice for the past 8 years I was producing music. I decided to try out some alternatives and holy crap, instant game-changer. I'm definitely proud of what I've achieved as it's leaps and bound above what I've released so far. To be specific, I'm now using GetGood Drums, as well as Plugin Alliance, all decidedly less expensive than if I were to have upgraded to Superior Drummer 3

When I first heard this song, I immediately went "gotta give this the damusicmahn treatment..." and went in search of a female vocalist that would assist me. But, I soon realized that Lynn didn't hit her usual high notes, so I got the idea to take vocals on myself. Because of the groove-driven nature of the song, I decided it was time for another Lamb of God shout-out. I reference two LoG songs in here. Can anyone guess (the 2nd one is less obvious)?

Since this cover was so special in terms of progress, I decided to film myself performing the song in its entirety. I tried to see how far I could get with filming on just an iPhone 8 Plus and I think it looks decent, though the app I was using (Filmic Pro) made the footage a bit grainy for my tastes. The entire process was a learning experience, from camera settings (and how awkward it is on a phone) to lighting, and boy self-filming a multi-angle video is challenging. I think I had 7-10 angles on average per instrument.
