Fatal Mistakes that Led to the Death Murtala Muhammed

This video explains why Murtala Muhammed was assassinated so easily on Feb 13th, 1976. We examine the key mistakes made by the revered leader and head of state. Even though Murtala Muhammed was popular among civilian population, he made a number of decisions and policies that pitched him against his fellow Men on uniform, and completely sealed his faith.
In this video, we will examine the circumstances surrounding his assassination, why was it so easy to kill a leader that most Nigerians liked? Was it his own mistake!? Did the Gen. deserve to die?
Col. Joseph Namvan Garba, speaking in a tense and emotional tone, announced that Gowon had been overthrown.
This was on July 29, 1975 and was the ninth anniversary of the deadly revenge coup that had brought Gowon into power.
