Astro Bot is a 3D platformer where the player controls the title character, a small robot named Astro Bot, through the use of the DualSense controller. Astro's core moveset is identical to previous entries, maintaining his ability to jump, hover, punch and spin-attack. The ability to swim underwater also returns from Astro Bot Rescue Mission, having been absent in Astro's Playroom.

A series of free speedrun levels DLC were added to Astro Bot across Oct. and Nov. 2024.

Astro Bot's credits were recently updated with a mention of Tomba Special Edition.
Tomba may hence soon have a cameo in Team Asobi's hit platformer.
Other potential crossovers that Astro Bot's credits previously hinted at include Assassin's Creed and Rayman.

Astro Bot may soon be adding even more DLC, one of which could introduce Tomba to its cast of characters. That's according to a recent change to the game that was spotted by one eagle-eyed Astro Bot player.

Astro Bot still includes licensing credits for Rayman, Worms, Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, Croc, and Tomba, the last of which was added today. Nothing official has been said about if these games will be featured eventually, or if more DLC is planned. The PS5 exclusive seems to have performed well both commercially and critically though, so Sony may want to push more DLC down the line.

What follows are all speedrun bots released so far, which are unlocked by beating the two birds in each level.

Let It Slide: “Ponytailed Protector” from Stellar Blade, “Galactic Peacekeeper” from Helldivers
Spring-loaded Run: “Holy Knight” from Guilty Gear, “Super Earth Diplomat” from Helldivers
Helium Heights: “Heavenly Warrior” from Heavenly Sword, “Super Earth Envoy” from Helldivers
Rising Heat: “Exalted Exo” from Destiny, “Suave Traitor” from Resident Evil
