While we were filming our installation video for the new RMSTATOR Kawasaki KLR650 high output stator, we noticed our test bike still had the original doohickey (counterbalance chain tensioner) installed. This part is well known to fail on the KLR650 motor, so we decided to replace it with an Eagle Mike doohickey and torsion spring for safety & reliability. This video shows you how to easily replace your KLR doohickey. You might as well check it out and do the job if necessary while you’re upgrading your stator!
