Leaders in Minneapolis, Minnesota, have not been shy about calling for new restrictions on gun access in the wake of a deadly Catholic school shooting this week.

But U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, the Republican Representative from Louisiana, said Friday that mental health represented a greater concern than access to guns.

"At the end of the day, the problem is not guns," Johnson said on Fox News. "The problem is the human heart. It's mental health."

And the effects of tariffs continue to weigh on American consumers, as some global shipments to the U.S. halt due to new rules that add import taxes to cheaper goods.
