Rasheed Kidwai Says 'The Way Digvijaya Singh Fell From Congress President Race Is Intriguing'

As Mallikarjun Kharge has entered the race for Congress President polls, Digvijaya Singh may not file nomination, sources said. Mallikarjun Kharge has entered the fray and will file his nomination today anytime after 12 noon. Kharge was appointed as the party observer after a political crisis erupted in Rajasthan with the resignation of 82 MLAs. They were against Sachin Pilot taking over as chief minister if Ashok Gehlot wins the Congress chief post.

However, things took a turn on Thursday after Gehlot declared that he will no longer contest the Congress presidential election following the events in his home state. Meanwhile, a meeting between G-23 leaders on Thursday has also sparked speculation of another candidate filing nomination for the election.
